Unity 3D SCORM results reporting

Within Unity, it’s possible to add SCORM tracking using a SCORM integration kit to gauge learning taking place in Unity-created simulations.

The results in a Learning Management System (LMS) are seen here:

Adode Captivate Virtual Reality xAPI statement reporting

The initial release of Adobe Captivate 2019 only allowed basic reporting using xAPI.

Adobe Captivate 2019 update 2 allows more robust reporting of a learner’s specific interactions with objects within virtual reality simulations. In the “Actions” panel, there’s a setting allows reporting when a learner clicks on each specific hotspot, for example. It also allows a unique ID to be applied to each object.

This allows more specific results to be seen in the LRS / LMS when publishing using the xAPI option.

A virtual reality example was created for testing purposes and published here.

The following xAPI results were based on the above example.

Objectives and e-learning exercise examples

After objectives for an e-learning course have been defined, you can use their action verbs match them up with the corresponding¬†Bloom’s Taxonomy level to help design proper e-learning exercises in the course. Below are some examples of action verbs, and an example of corresponding exercises to go with it.

State (Level 1 action verb)

Identify (Level 1 action verb)

Describe (Level 1 action verb)

Explain (Level 2 action verb)

Determine (Level 2, 4, or 6 action verb)

State (Level 1 action verb)

Perform (Level 3 action verb)

Demonstrate (Level 3 action verb)

Interpret (Level 3 action verb)

Set up (Fits in Level 3 action verbs)

Prioritize, rank or put ___ in order
